Why the English language so stupid?

Let's face it, English is a stupid language. There is no egg in eggplant. No ham in the hamburger. And the apple, pineapple or pine either. English muffins were not invented in England. And the French fries were not invented in France. Sometimes take English for granted. But if we examine its paradoxes, we find that Quicksand takes you slowly, boxing rings are square and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea and is not a pig. If writers write, how come fingers do not fing No, if the plural of tooth teeth Should not the plural of phone booth be phone Beeth? If teachers taught, why did not the preacher Praught? If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what the hell is a humanitarian eat? Why do people pray in a play Yet play at a recital? Park in the parking lots and walks the walk? How the weather can be hot as hell one day and cold as hell another?

T it great? My favorite is "a nonstop flight." Believe me, the flight to stop somewhere.
