I think I'm more qualified ….?
I am an artist / graphic production for 25 years. I know how to work all the new graphics and publishing software, but every time I go in an interview that I look like, "Well, we can not afford." My portfolio is very nice, however, from newspapers, magazines and pamphlets for children's books. What am I doing wrong? I'm sympathetic, intelligent woman – any body will advise on how to sell my car over-qualified?
It is difficult to answer without knowing what kind of tasks that you go for. If you are interviewing for jobs standard work of average pixel Slinger, I can understand very well how to obtain such approval. You might consider strengthening the interview for positions of greater responsibility. Your best bet is actually to find something you do not feel comfortable application and run with it. After 25 years, is ready to become a manager or artistic director. Go to the search for these jobs and not be afraid to finish!
